Design Guides
The Basics
These are the common design elements that can appear on any phenotype!
Markings
Common
Common markings, also known as Dominant markings, will always display whether the genotype is homozygous or heterozygous.
Uncommon
Uncommon markings, also known as Incomplete Dominant markings, will display differently depending on if the genotype is homozygous or heterozygous.
Rare
Rare markings, also known as Recessive markings, will only display when the genotype is homozygous.
Legendary
Legendary markings, also known as 2-component Codominant markings, are a combination of two other markings in the phenotype.
Mythic
Mythic markings, also known as 3-component Codominant markings, are a combination of three other markings in the phenotype.
Mutations
Mutations that appear with are hereditary mutations! This means they can be passed from parent to child. The majority of mutations are somatic, or non-hereditary, and will only occur randomly.
Pattern
Pattern mutations may affect the markings and overall pattern of a beast.
Color
Color mutations may affect the base coat and marking color rules.
