Genetics Guide: Roan

Roan causes a lighter or darker spread of soft colour which may layer under or over other markings. It includes small cornspots showing through what is underneath.

Roan must cover approximately the same amount as the minimum range, but may appear anywhere within range. Small holes in the swath of colour may show what is underneath. The marking must be darker or lighter than the base and one colour unless affected by a colour mod.
